Flexible Expiry for Task Formss
Task Forms's flexible expiry feature automatically deactivates the form after a specified date and time, preventing new submissions beyond the deadline.
When Expiry Is Useful
- Project intake windows with firm submission deadlines.
- Monthly budget request periods that close on a specific date.
- Event registration forms that should stop accepting entries after capacity is planned.
- Quarterly data collection cycles with regulatory deadlines.
How It Works
Set the expiration date during Task Forms configuration. After this date, users who open the form see a message that submissions are closed. Existing child rows created before expiry remain in the sheet. The form configuration is preserved and can be reactivated with a new expiry date for future collection periods.
Key Benefits
- Automated deadline enforcement without manual intervention.
- Prevents late submissions that could disrupt planning.
- Reusable for recurring collection cycles by updating the expiry date.
- Works independently or in combination with password protection.
