Password Protection and Expiry for Camera Forms

SmartSyncApp's Camera Form supports both password protection and flexible expiry dates to control access and submission timing. These security features are essential when form links are distributed to external contractors, temporary workers, or across shared communication channels.

Password Protection

When enabled, users must enter the correct password before the form loads. This prevents unauthorized individuals from uploading photos to your Smartsheet rows if the form link is shared publicly, posted on project boards, or forwarded outside the intended team. For GDPR-sensitive photo collection (e.g., employee headshots, visitor logs), password protection adds an essential access control layer.

Flexible Expiry

Set an expiration date and time for the form link. After the deadline, users see a message that the form is closed. This is critical for time-limited data collection campaigns such as daily inspection windows, event check-ins, project milestone documentation, or shift-based photo logging where submissions after shift end should be rejected.
