In-Cell Image Capture for Smartsheet

SmartSyncApp's Camera Form can upload captured photos directly into Smartsheet cells as in-cell images. Unlike file attachments that require clicking to view, in-cell images display as thumbnails directly within the cell, making them visible in dashboards, reports, and sheet views without extra interaction.

Why In-Cell Images Matter

Visual documentation is most effective when images are immediately visible alongside the data they relate to. An inspection photo next to a room record, an employee photo next to a name, or a product image next to an inventory entry provides instant context that text alone cannot convey.

How It Works

When in-cell image mode is selected during Camera Form setup, SmartSyncApp uploads the captured photo to Smartsheet and inserts it into the designated image column of the matched row. The image renders as a thumbnail in the cell and can be expanded to full size by clicking.
