Custom Sorting for Smartsheet Dropdowns

SmartSyncApp's Dynamic Dropdown gives you full control over the order in which dropdown options appear to users. Choose from alphabetical sorting for easy scanning, numerical sorting for priority-based lists, or define a custom sort order that matches your specific business logic.

Why Sort Order Matters

The order of dropdown options influences user behavior. If a high-priority project appears at the bottom of a 50-item list, users may overlook it. If vendor names are unsorted, finding the right one takes longer and increases error rates. Custom sorting ensures the most relevant or important options appear first.

Sorting Options

• Alphabetical (A-Z or Z-A): best for name-based lists like employees, clients, or products.
